The documentary Miss Representation, by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and aired on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. The film explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence.

A reception, screening and conversation about the documentary "Miss. Representation" that's asking some hard questions about how women are portrayed in the media. FAAN Mail Founder Nuala Cabral will lead a panel discussion on how media affects us personally as women and girls. Organized by Girls Rock Philly, UCCP @ Temple University and A Chance to Heal. Small reception will be held at 5:30.
